/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /The Danish C25 stock index rose 1.82 percent on Wednesday. It closed at 2026.62 points. This is the highest closing level since September 2024. The previous record level from two years ago was 2039.66 points.
The C25 index tracks the 25 most traded shares on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. Strong financial reports from major companies drove the rise. Pandora shares jumped by 10.9 percent. Novo Nordisk shares gained 5.5 percent. Both companies delivered financial results that beat market expectations. They also raised their future growth expectations.
Green energy stocks also saw gains on Wednesday. Ørsted rose by 4.5 percent. Vestas gained 2.8 percent. Sampension equity chief Philip Jagd commented on the rise. He linked the gain to the US midterm election results. A Democratic victory improves the outlook for green energy in the United States.
Democrats favor wind energy more than Republicans do. US Republican President Donald Trump has repeatedly criticized wind turbines. He called wind an unreliable energy source. He also stated that wind turbines are ugly in the landscape.
Philip Jagd believes the C25 index could set a new record soon. On Thursday, earnings reports are expected from Mærsk, Genmab, and GN Store Nord.
