Copenhagen to Host International Citizen Days on September 25-26

Foreign residents in Copenhagen can connect with local communities this September.

The City of Copenhagen hosts International Citizen Days on September 25 and 26.

This free event helps new arrivals build a life outside of work.

About 150 partner organizations will participate in the event.

The municipality expects between 5,000 and 6,000 attendees over two days.

One in five Copenhagen residents holds a foreign passport.

More than 30,000 people moved to the region last year.

This year features talks, workshops, and leisure activities.

Local sports clubs, language schools, and government authorities will join.

Workshops cover Danish digital services, humor, and social codes.

Attendees can even learn to make a traditional Danish birthday cake.

Friday events focus on jobs, labor unions, unemployment funds, and workplace culture.

Culture Mayor Christopher Røhl stated that international residents make the city creative.

Employment Mayor Andreas Keil noted that international talent is key for growth.

The event is part of Welcome September across Denmark.
