Copenhagen Metro Gets New Operator for Lines M1 to M4
KBH Metro Partner will take over Copenhagen Metro operations in September next year under a 17 billion kroner contract.

The public company Metroselskabet announced the decision following a major tender process.
The new contract is worth 17 billion Danish kroner.
Metro Service currently operates the capital metro network.
Metroselskabet, Metro Service, and KBH Metro Partner are starting a transition phase now.
Metroselskabet wants to keep as many current Metro Service staff as possible.
Søren Boysen is director of operations at Metroselskabet.
He said the tender task attracted strong international interest.
By law, Metroselskabet must tender metro operations to a private company.
The state, Copenhagen Municipality, and Frederiksberg Municipality own Metroselskabet.
According to DR, the main task remains keeping daily metro operations safe and efficient.
