Copenhagen Joins European Mobility Week 2026 with Green Transport Actions

Greater Copenhagen will mark European Mobility Week from September 16 to September 22, 2026. The annual campaign aims to promote clean urban transport across European cities. The central theme for 2026 remains Mobility for Everyone. This theme emphasizes fairness across different generations. People of all ages face unique daily transport needs.

EIT Urban Mobility is hosting several activities during the week. Residents can join a week-long Steps Challenge using the Walk15 app. Participants select their city in the app and log daily steps. The challenge encourages daily walking to build healthier habits.

The event also includes two online webinars. The first webinar explores ways cities improve daily commuting. It draws on survey data from commuters in Barcelona, Munich, and Bucharest.
