Copenhagen Housing Market Cools as Apartment Listings Pass 2,000

Copenhagen buyers and renters now face less competition in the housing market. The number of owner-occupied apartments for sale in Copenhagen Municipality has surpassed 2,000.

This is the first time listings hit this level since early 2024. Data shows 2,057 apartments were listed in early October 2026. This total marks a 5 percent increase from the previous month.

It is also nearly double the supply from one year ago. The surge in available homes signals a cooling housing market. It brings welcome relief to local international workers, students, and families searching for homes.

More inventory means buyers have more choices during their home search. The increase in options helps ease overall buy and rent pressure. According to CPH Post, this trend reflects a shifting local property market.
