Copenhagen Apartment Sales Drop Significantly

Buying an apartment in Copenhagen may now happen at a calmer pace.

Apartment sales in Copenhagen fell 36 percent in August compared to last year.

Only 390 apartments changed hands in Copenhagen Municipality during the month.

This comes from housing statistics from Boligsiden and reported by Ritzau.

It was the third-lowest August sales total in Copenhagen since 2011.

Boligsiden housing economist Birgit Daetz noted a clear shift in market speed.

She stated that the hectic market pace in Copenhagen has slowed down.

Across Denmark, apartment sales dropped 20 percent compared to last year.
