Copenhagen Apartment Sales Drop Significantly

Buying an apartment in Copenhagen may soon become cheaper. Sales of owner-occupied apartments in the city dropped significantly in July. Only 407 owner-occupied apartments were sold in Copenhagen Municipality that month. This was a 24 percent drop from June. It was also a 40 percent decrease compared to July 2025.

The news comes from a report by Copenhagen Post. Nordea housing economist Lise Nytoft Bergmann shared key insights on the market. She stated that monthly sales usually range between 400 and 600 apartments. While 407 sales fit in that range, it sits near the lower end. Historically, apartment prices begin to fall when sales slow down this much.
