Copenhagen Apartment Sales Drop as Government Targets School App Aula
Copenhagen saw apartment sales drop in August, while Danish ministers proposed abolishing the widely used school communication app Aula.

This marks one of the lowest August sales figures since 2011. Overall apartment sales across Denmark fell 20 percent. However, house and summer house sales remain strong.
Families with school children may soon see changes to local communication. The Moderates party wants to abolish the school app Aula. Ministers say the app creates too many distractions for students. Over 10,000 messages travel through Aula every minute each morning. The government links this issue to recent low PISA test scores. No replacement platform has been suggested yet.
Meanwhile, Danish judges criticized a plan for more video trials. Courts want to save money on smaller criminal cases. Judges warn video calls could weaken legal safety for defendants. In lighter news, a Lego royal ship model sold for 60,000 Danish kroner. The proceeds will go to a charity fighting school bullying.
