Copenhagen adds 2,000 student homes as autumn vaccine invites begin
Copenhagen will get 2,000 new student homes while Denmark starts autumn flu and Covid-19 vaccine invites.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Copenhagen will get 2,000 new student homes by 2030. AkademikerPension and CPH Village are investing one billion kroner. The first homes in Nordhavn will open in spring 2028. Copenhagen has 61,000 students but only 26,000 youth homes. These modular homes offer lower rents to help ease housing shortages.
Danish health authorities have started sending autumn vaccination invitations. About 1.3 million people aged 65 and over will receive invites. People with chronic illnesses are also included. Free shots for flu and Covid-19 run from October 1st to December 20th.
Danish media reported strong reactions to the latest Pisa education survey. Danish students recorded their worst reading and math scores in 25 years. Commentators blamed excessive screen time, social media, and falling student focus.
Meanwhile, Danish NGO TrygFonden hosted a safety conference in Copenhagen on Wednesday. The group aims to cut drowning accidents in Denmark by half. Denmark sees around 200 drowning incidents each year, with half turning fatal.
