China to Enforce Updated Border and Exit-Entry Rules in September
China's new exit-entry regulations take effect on September 15, introducing stricter travel document checks and bans for violations.

The new policy updates 19 articles on border safety. Border officers can verify paper forms and online data. Foreigners who submit false forms face entry bans. These entry bans will last one to five years. Foreigners who break border rules face the same bans.
Chinese citizens face exit bans of six months to three years. This applies to citizens punished for illegal acts abroad. It also applies to those who break immigration rules. The rule adds safety risk alerts for citizens going abroad. Channel NewsAsia reported these updated entry rules.
