China reports 15.46 million holiday trips under visa-free policy

Swedish and Danish citizens can travel to China under a 30-day visa-free policy. China recorded 15.46 million cross-border trips during Golden Week from October 1 to 7. This represents a 6.7 percent increase compared to last year. China's National Immigration Administration reported the holiday border statistics.

Inbound visits by foreign nationals reached 682,000 during the holiday week. Among them, 505,000 foreign visitors entered China under the visa-free policy. Visa-free entries grew by 9.2 percent compared to last year. Passport holders from 50 nations can use the 30-day visa exemption. The visa exemption list includes Sweden and Denmark.

The figures show strong adoption of the visa exemption scheme among international travelers. Families in Stockholm benefit from predictable border entry when planning visits to China.
