Airlines are also adding 288 new domestic air routes in China. The Civil Aviation Administration of China announced the updated schedule. The timetable improves connections between major hub cities like Beijing and Shanghai. It connects these hubs directly to regional and domestic tourist spots.
This expansion comes ahead of the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday travel wave. Travelers transferring through Beijing or Shanghai will find better transit options. The new schedule aims to support seasonal travel demand. According to the South China Morning Post, airlines are boosting regional connectivity.
