AI Adoption Quadruples Among Danish Companies

Danish companies are adopting artificial intelligence at a rapid pace. This shift is changing skill requirements for workers in Denmark. Statistics Denmark reports that 59 percent of local companies use AI in 2026. That share was only 15 percent in 2023. In 2025, the figure stood at 42 percent.

Companies use AI for many routine tasks. These tasks include analyzing text and creating images or videos. Businesses also use AI to convert spoken language into computer code. Automating daily work processes is another major application area across sectors.

The Danish Chamber of Commerce notes that AI is now a daily tool. Large companies are currently leading this technology trend. Industry director Frederikke Saabye stated that AI is here to stay. Most businesses report that higher efficiency is the primary benefit. However, a lack of employee skills remains a key barrier.

Industry association IT-Branchen emphasizes the need for training. Broader AI knowledge is becoming essential across all sectors.
